I don’t know if this helps because I took the test 14 years ago and so many things have changed, including my hair which is grayer and my memory which is fading, but to me was a matter of pride. I got to the ATA with 10 years of experience as a Pharmaceutical Translator and ventured to take the exam with little or none preparation. I passed and then discovered that only 20% of the people taking it pass it the first time. How I know it? because a couple of years later I proctored a exam in Colombia.
Having the Certification has helped me a lot. I take pride in the fact that I don’t have many clients but love those I have.
