Instructor: | Therese Mirande is certified as a Spanish Medical Interpreter and Spanish Social Services Interpreter by the State of Washington DSHS. She holds a master’s degree in Spanish and a doctorate in Romance Languages, both from the University of Washington. She has been a professor of World Languages as well as Language Interpreting at Pierce College. As a member of the National Council of Interpreting in Healthcare, Ms. Mirande played an integral role in the development of their Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. |
