|Description:||This video is the third in a 3-part “Advanced Ethics” series. As training programs for medical interpreters continue to gain momentum, code of ethics are introduced as an expectation for guiding daily practice. In this video, Therese Mirande goes beyond basics to present 5 scenarios with ethical dilemmas for participants to consider. She walks participants through the 5 steps of the decision-making process for each scenario. Viewers are encouraged to engage in conversations about the concepts presented in the "Ethical Dilemmas" discussion forum. Ms. Mirande reviews how to “scrub” details from an encounter in order to maintain confidentiality.|
